The Story Continues
This website started as a living story of my uncle's service in World War II. I found some 200 plus letters in my late uncle's office he used to run his business after the war, and during his retirement. It was in 2008 that I asked my father (deceased last November 2011) if I could have the letters and look at. In the last three and one-half years I have painstakenly read, organized and put up this website, that I am proud of. It has been my intention to keep the content free and available to all, around the world. And I have had many comments, about the stories they read, and the things they have learned, from people in most of the states of the union. Many of the people reading the stories are from Great Britian, Holland and other countries. I also want to have updates to the site, and they have been minimal the last year and a half, because I have not had the time to work on this site, having to make a living like everyone else. I had hoped that the money from donations would help, and that I would be able to make some improvements and additions. It has been my goal, to open up the site to other soldiers that have letters they written, and possibly even to over conflicts in the world. But unless I get some funding for this, it probably won't happen. As long as I can I am going to keep the content of this site up, and hopefully free. Any suggestions you have are welcome.
