I haven't been doing much. I am in the field once again. Not doing anything out here but sleeping most of the time. Yesterday was my birthday and thank you so much for the letter I got yesterday. I do understand how you feel. I don't know really when I will get home. But I do promise to make it worth your waiting for me. I am so glad that you are still waiting for me. I know that you don't belong to me and I really am happy that you are waiting for me when you and I both don't know how things will be when I get home.
I bought a camera and I am taking a lot of pictures out here. I promise to send you some. A lot if you want them. But I would like you to send me one of you, ok?

Not much to do out here. Just sit around and play cards or drink a little beer. I haven't been drinking much. A little though. But what else is there to do while I am in the field?
I am sorry to hear that you didn't get to go up North. You must have been awful disappointed. But there is always another time.
Have you heard from Diane? She must be awful mad at me. I haven't written to her in such a longtime. Maybe I had better drop her a line today. If you see her tell her hello for me, ok? Well pretty soon you and Diane will be inyour last year of school. Well Chris I will close for now. Remember that I love and miss you.
